Wood Pellets-Price Hike-Availability Sketchy

With all the precipitation we’ve had it’s been hard for processors to get in the woods to harvest the wood for pellets. This has slowed down availability which in turn drives the price up.

A ton of hard wood pellets is now $220 and a ton of the soft wood is $250. By the bag hard wood is $5.25 and soft is $5.50. Our inventory is pretty good for right now because we stocked up as much as we could.

The Peshtigo Feed Mill is a full service mill...we do custom grinding and mixing with delivery. The main goal of the Peshtigo Feed Mill is to create the best customer relations possible. Plus, we sell many different pet and animal feeds and supplies!

Rex (Peannie) & Ron ( Porky) purchased the mill from George & Lucy Hart in 1987 after working for them since they were young kids living across the street. Rex married George’s niece, Cheryl, in 1974 and she later became the office manager at the feed mill.

Rex & Cheryl have two children Leslie (Special Ed teacher) and Valerie (Med Tech at BAMC). They have two grandchildren Nate and Kyle still in grade school. Rex and Cheryl enjoy camping and Rex is an avid bowler and golfer.

Ron and Bette have 2 children Jessie (Waupaca Foundry) and Jackie (Ansul). They have five grandchildren Chase and Trevor (twins) (high school), Ella (2 yrs old), Kaitlyn, and Cadence still in grade school. Ron is also an avid bowler and golfer.
